Montezuma defended their home turf on Friday by defeating Winfield-Mt. Union 35-0.

The Braves utilized a balance attack to march down the field on the Wolves. Sophomore quarterback Clay Krousie was 10 of 17 through the air for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Reece McCaslen was on the receiving end of those two touchdowns for a total of 60 yards on the day. Jordon Bender was efficient with his 10 carries that went for 140 yards and three scores. Montezuma forced four Wolves turnovers that plagued their chances offensively.

With the win Montezuma improves to 3-3 as Winfield-Mt. Union drops to 0-6. The Wolves search for their first win Friday hosting Pekin (6-1).
