Challenge your body and mind at the fifth annual Movement Mayhem Obstacle Run this weekend in Ainsworth.

The 5K and one mile event, hosted by JET Physical Therapy, is raising funds for the Washington Wellness Park. JET Physical Therapy co-owner Eric Turner tells why they host this event, “October is National Physical Therapy Month, so we wanted to do something to highlight the importance of physical activity and the benefits for improved health, and so we came up with a fun way to try to get people involved. And Marr Park has been fantastic to work with and help us plan and set up for the event, and it’s really worked out well the last five years.”

Participants will journey a course including obstacles like hay bales, tunnels, and climbing ropes. Turner says there were around 85 runners last year, and he hopes to increase upon that number. Like Marr Park, Turner says he believes the Washington Wellness Park could be an asset to the county for people to be more physically active. The Movement Mayhem Obstacle Run is at 9 a.m. Saturday in Marr Park, with registration at 8 a.m.
