Description: Church of Saint Mary of Nichols is having an auction and luncheon on Sunday November 5 at their parish hall. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for luncheon including chicken & noodles or ham dinner, soup, sandwiches, and desserts. There will be a silent auction of baked goods and a regular auction at 1 p.m.

Description: Kalona United Methodist Church is having a fall harvest dinner, bazaar, and auction on Sunday November 5. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and cost is $11 for adults, $5 for kids 6-10, 5 and under free. Live auction will start at 1:15 p.m., with bazaar held prior, and a special quilt auction at 2:15 p.m. Flu shots will be available to the public from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Description: The public is invited to hear an account of France places related to the service of some Washington County residents during WWI. “Over There: A trip along the Marne River” is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday November 4 in the Nicola-Stoufer room at the Washington Public Library. This event is hosted by the Washington County Historical Society and is open to the public.
