Pekin rebounded from their first loss of the season by defeating Winfield-Mt. Union on Friday 38-0.

With rainy conditions, Pekin utilized the run game by racking up 322 yards on the ground. Monico Requena did the bulk of the work with 182 yards and two scores. Pekin proved to be stout defensively holding the Wolves to four yards rushing. Christian Gerot found some success through the air completing four of his 10 passes for 64 yards. Jayce Malone led the Wolves’ defense with eight tackles.

With the win Pekin moves to 7-1 as WMU drops to 0-7. The Wolves aim for their first win Friday traveling to North Mahaska (0-7).
