A game you dream of as a kid, a game that can vault your team into the postseason with a win or with a loss that leaves you on the outside looking in. That’s the scenario for two teams at Case Field tonight when Washington (6-1) welcomes Oskaloosa (5-2) on senior night with a trip to the postseason on the line.

These class 3A district 5 foes are no stranger to one another and no stranger to the big stage. In fact, last year it was the Indians that dashed the Demon hopes of a postseason berth for the first time in six years. The Demons will look to return the favor on a night where they will recognize their 22 seniors. Luke Turner and company are going to have to take care of the football against an opportunistic Indian defense that leads the district with 12 interceptions. Turner has had the passing game going the last two weeks combining for 400 yards and eight touchdowns. The line continues to pave the way to a district leading 1,939 yards on the ground. This is an area Oskaloosa has been stingy, only allowing two 100 yard rushers on the season, both coming in losses.

The Demon secondary will be busy once again, going up against an Indian attack that leads the district in completions. Seth Howard has completed 78 of his 146 passes for 1,006 yards and 11 touchdowns. Casey Hill leads the run game with 452 yards and four scores. Oskaloosa averages 37 points per contest.

The playoffs are up for grabs starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Case Field. Tune into 106.1FM or KCIIradio.com to listen to the broadcast.
