Sling some mud in Riverside this Saturday at a fall demolition derby.

The Riverside Area Community Club is hosting this event to raise funds for Hall Park. RACC President Andy Rodgers tells how the funds raised will be used, “The proceeds are going to help with improvements in Hall Park. We need some electrical upgrades and some more upgrades down at the demo pit, like better lighting. Just put the proceeds back into the park.”

The electrical upgrades are most wanted for Trekfest, as Rodgers notes it’s a hassle to run electrical cords throughout the park for the event. The demo derby will have six classes of competition and a kids Power Wheels derby. Cost is $10 per spectator, and free for those 12 and younger. The event starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hall Park in Riverside.
