The Southeast Iowa Super Conference cross country meet is today and Winfield-Mt. Union is hosting at Twin Lakes Golf Course.

For many area schools this is round two at Twin Lakes Golf Course as the Wolves hosted a meet last week. For WMU Brody Barton is a runner to look at for finishing second last week in that meet. On the girls’ side, Pearl Kreiger-Coble could do some damage having many top 10 finishes on the year including third in their home meet.

Lone Tree girls placed third at that meet and Macie Bopp is the top Lion runner placing seventh. On the boys’ side Alberto Cortes has been a constant for the Lions including finishing 32nd in their last competition.

Columbus Community’s Marc Estrada has put together an impressive senior campaign including a first place finish at Keota last month. Jenessa Carpenter has been a top runner all year long for the girls including 11th in Winfield.

Iowa Mennonite School is coming off of hosting their own meet on Monday. Levi Geyer is coming in as the top boys’ runner placing 15th as Sarena Gerber paced the girls in 43rd.

Highland was last in action nine days ago in Washington. Taylor Sublette paced the Huskies that night finishing 10th. On the boys’ side Bryan Redlinger nabbed 35th.

WACO does not have enough to post a team score but John Skriver is coming off of a 55th place finish on Monday for the boys and Delaney Miller was 74th for the girls.

The action gets started at 4:30 p.m. tonight at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Winfield.
