The Keota and Sigourney cross country teams travel to Colfax-Mingo for the South Iowa Cedar League conference meet today.

The Sigourney boys are seeking their third conference title in as many years. The Savages haven’t been in action since last Monday when they traveled to Wellman. Tristan Bell is a runner to look out for placing 29th last week. Other Savages that could do some damage are Paul Montgomery who placed 30th and Dawson Webster in 60th. Summer Barthelman leads the Sigourney girls. The junior had the best finish last week in 40th. Other top runners for Sigourney are Lainey Graff who placed 58th and Autum Barthelman in 67th.

Keota will not have enough for a team score but have a few runners that have a chance for a medal. Turner Klein headlines the boys by recording many top 10 finishes on the year including a 12th place finish at Columbus on Monday. Jayden Lawson is the other top runner for the boys who placed 40th. For the girls, they are led by Jenna Jaeger who placed 26th on Monday and Laurie Amos was 28th.

The action gets started at 4:30 p.m. today and continues into the evening at Colfax-Mingo High School.
