Day two of the South Iowa Cedar League volleyball tournament was Thursday and Sigourney split their two matches to finish second in the Silver bracket.

On Tuesday the Savages split their matches in the opening round to land in the second tier of day two. In their opening round they swept BGM 25-16, 25-15, and 25-16 but then lost to HLV 25-13, 25-14, and 25-15. On Thursday they traveled to Lynnville-Sully where they defeated Colfax-Mingo after dropping the first two sets. They lost 19-25 and 21-25 but then regrouped and won sets of 27-25, 25-16, and 19-17. They then advanced to the finals of the silver bracket where they fell to Lynnville-Sully 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, and 25-21.

The Savages capped off the regular season with a record of 9-15. They start up postseason play Tuesday hosting Cardinal (8-21).
