The Sigourney volleyball team saw their season continue Tuesday after defeating Cardinal in four sets in the opening round of regionals.

Sigourney took advantage of home court by winning with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 16-25, 25-23. It was an even distribution of offense for the Savages led by Sloane Magill with 10 kills. Leah Carter accounted for much of the scoring with 30 assists. Brooke Waechter was not going to let her senior season come to a close as she finished the night with 11 digs.

With the win Sigourney improves to 11-16 as Cardinal ended their year at 8-22. Sigourney moves on to the second round of regionals Monday when they travel to Packwood to face off with Pekin (21-15).
