The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team eliminated Iowa Mennonite School Monday night in the regional quarterfinal round of the class 1A tournament in Winfield.

The Wolves avenged two regular season losses at the hands of IMS with a sweep by scores of 25-6, 27-25 and 25-14. On the night the Wolves were led by Jenna Buffington with 16 kills. Lauren Jamison racked up 23 assists and Jami Wilkerson, Kyndal Townsley, Molly Jennings, Jamison, Buffington and Pearl Krieger-Coble combined to go an incredible 79 of 79 at the service line with seven aces.

Iowa Mennonite was led by Rubye Ney with 10 kills, Sami Miller ended with 15 assists and Suzanna Yoder finished with 17 digs. With the loss IMS ends their season at 15-14 and will say goodbye to seniors Avery Blauvelt, Raine Hathaway, Alyssa Hershberger, Monet Slabach and Joya Schrock. WMU improves to 14-18 and will travel to Victor on Thursday to take on No. 14 HLV in the regional semifinals.
