Downtown Washington will be hosting spooky events this month in celebration of Halloween.

At the recent Washington City Council meeting, Chamber of Commerce assistant Alisha Davis shared what’s on the calendar, “In addition to a full month of Oktober Madness events, we have Moonlight Madness coming up on October 19th, and then trick-or-treat around the square we’ll have our usual events like our free meal, bounce house, and games.” Trick-or-Treat Around the Square will run 5-7:30 p.m. on Halloween. The council approved a street closure on October 31st on East Main Street for the annual hayrack ride provided by the antique tractor club. Citywide trick-or-treat in Washington will be held Tuesday, October 31st.
