The Washington volleyball team ended the 2017 campaign with a 5-24 overall record.

The Demons had a 1-7 Southeast Conference record that tied for fourth with Keokuk. Their lone conference victory came in the conference opener  beating the Chiefs at home. Their best stretch of the season came when they won three in a row at their home tournament earlier  this month defeating Sigourney, Keota, and Tri-County.

Washington was fifth in the conference in kills with 396 and had 5.28 kills per set. Isabel Bailey and Addison Six led the team with 95 kills each placing  them in a tie for ninth in the conference. The team collected 293 assists on the year led by Megan Mitchell who had the fourth most in the conference with 241. Morgan Brinning was a leader defensively with the sixth most digs in the league with 222  of Washington’s 895. Six had 38 of Washington’s 85 blocks.

The Demons ended their season in the first round of the class 4A playoffs losing to Mount Pleasant. They lose Mitchell, Brinning, and Kylee Porter to graduation.
