The Washington cross country teams hit the road tonight traveling to Fort Madison for the Southeast Conference meet.

Rest should be on the Demons’ side as they haven’t been in action since last Monday when they ran in Wellman. The Demon girls finished eighth out of 10 teams in that meet. Brooke Stout continues to lead the way as she finished 21st with a time of 23:00. Other Demon runners looking to do damage are Molly Sparks who placed 33rd, Ashley Telleen 34th, and Meredith Raber 46th.

The Demon boys finished sixth out of 11 teams. Brennan Horak is a runner to look out for coming off a 13th place finish at Iowa Mennonite School. Evan Horak has been finishing right behind Brennan including 17th last week. Other top Demon runners are Jacob Van Osdol who placed 26th and Blake Hartzler in 53rd.

The meet gets started at 4:30 p.m. today and continues into the evening at Rodeo Park in Fort Madison.
