The Columbus football team finished 2017 on a positive note, rolling through Van Buren on the road Friday 29-8 in their season finale.

In his final game for the Wildcats Abel Mena had a big night, accounting for all four of the Columbus touchdowns, two through the air and two on the ground. He ended the contest with 236 all-purpose yards. Tommy Pretz, also in his last game for the Wildcats, hauled in both of Mena’s touchdown passes, ending the game with four grabs for 38 yards and those two scores.
