In a battle of area volleyball teams Winfield-Mt. Union got the best of Keota, with the Wolves winning in the first round of regional postseason play.

The Wolves won in four sets with scores of 25-9, 25-21, 24-26, and 27-25. Jenna Buffington led the way for WMU with 15 kills and Lexee Hartsock added 13. Lauren Jamison had a solid night with 23 assists. Defensively Kyndal Townsley had 11 digs and Hartsock was involved in three blocks. Jami Wilkerson was efficient serving completing 29 of 30 with seven aces.

With the win, WMU improves to 13-18 as Keota ends their season at 2-20. The Wolves advance to the second round of regionals Monday hosting Iowa Mennonite School (15-13). Keota loses Wynonna Morris, Olivia Sieren, Gracie McHugh, and Anna Axume-Ackerman to graduation.
