Another football season is in the books and it’s another season where Sigourney-Keota dominated opponents with the ground game.

With their tradition of excellence in the single wing offense, stuffing the stat sheets with yards is nothing new to the Cobra offense. The Cobras finished the 2017 season with the most rushing yards in the state regardless of class and it isn’t even close. They finished the year with 3,992 yards, which is 400 yards more than the next team in all of the state. This marks the third straight year the Cobras finished the year in the top five in rushing for class 1A. The 50 rushing touchdowns is also a class 1A best with the one-two punch of Carson Crawford and Luke Greiner leading the way. The duo combined for over 3,000 of the rushing yards and 41 of the 50 touchdowns.

The Cobras capped off their season at 5-5 by falling in the first round of the playoffs.
