The trees around the square in downtown Washington have some colorful visitors this week – owls, snakes, sheep, and fish.

These aren’t typical creatures that you’d find perched in the trees as their leaves change colors with the season and fall. No, these are all hand crafted; they’re made of colorful yarn, felt, sequins, buttons, and fabric. The little animals adorn the trees, are the product of a yarnbomb by the Yarn Engineers of Washington. If you can brave the cool temperatures this week, go for a walk around the block and see how many you can spot.
