Harvesting, baling corn stalks, tiling, spreading manure, applying fertilizers, and planting cover crops were all activities farmers across Iowa did in the last week.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 92% of Iowa’s corn for grain crop has been harvested, eight days behind last year and the five-year average. The moisture content of corn being harvested averaged 17%. In southeast Iowa, 91% of corn is out of the field.
