The Highland girls continue to roll, as they stormed past Columbus Community in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup on Tuesday.

The big story for Highland was their defense, holding Columbus to single digits in every quarter. The Huskies stormed out to an 11-2 after the first quarter. The game was back and forth the rest of the way but Highland seized the 33-19 victory. Alyson Stokes had another productive night for the Huskies with 15 points including six of eight from the line. Abbie Miller added nine points. Anna Hamilton led the way for the Wildcats with five points and eight rebounds.

With the win Highland improves to 3-0 on the young season, as Columbus drops to 0-2. The Huskies get back at it Friday hosting Winfield-Mt. Union and the Wildcats travel to Wilton tomorrow.
