Washington’s Brennan Horak finished up his high school cross country career Saturday by participating in the senior all star meet in Ankeny.

The senior placed 30th out of 69 runners with a time of 17:22. Miles Scott of Sergeant Bluff-Luton won the title with a time of 16:02. Horak was a part of the East team that had 30 points and narrowing fell to the West All-Stars who had 27.

This closes the book on a historic season for Horak who was the first Demon boys’ runner to qualify for state in 18 years. Horak finished 95th at the state meet in the class 3A race last week.
