The annual 4-H Awards and Family Fun Night was celebrated Sunday in Washington and a number of awards were presented, including one for KCII Radio.

John Carter presented the Adult Volunteer Awards which included the 4-H Alumni Award to Chris Leichty, the Partner in 4-H Award to Washington County Cattlemen, 4-H Volunteer of the Year to David Moeller, 4-H Family of the Year to Keith and Sarah Murphy and family, and the Friend in 4-H Award to Sally Hart of KCII Radio. He said, “You have given our local 4-H program a voice that not all 4-H programs have. Our community does not have to wonder or question what 4-H is about, or what it is doing, because you tell our story so well and so often. We are so thankful in the way you share our events, remind about deadlines, highlight our members and volunteers, promote the county fair, feature our 4-Hers learning, and doing it all with care and accuracy.”

The event included the installation of County Council and ELITE members.
