After certified enrollment numbers have been made official, the Mid-Prairie School Board is requesting additional spending authority.

At their recent meeting Superintendent Mark Schneider explained each year they are able to request Additional Allowable Growth from the School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) for a number of items. The district is able to request additional spending authority for 6.6 new students who are open enrolling out of the district, although the total open enrollment out numbers declined. The 6.6 students enrolled for a total of $43,500.60 and the board is able to request $5,885.44 for the English Language Learners (ELL) program beyond five years. The board approved submitting a request for these growths to the SBRC.
