Six Wolves on All Conference Volleyball

With a strong finish to the 2017 season the Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team nabbed six players on the Southeast Iowa Super Conference all conference teams.

Lexee Hartsock was the lone Wolf on the first team. The do-it-all senior was a force as a hitter racking up the seventh-most kills in the north division with 222 and 2.29 per set. She was also a force at the net with the sixth-most blocks in the division with 57.

The Wolves had three players named to second team including a pair of freshmen in Jenna Buffington and Kyndal Townsley. Buffington made her presence known offensively leading the team with 231 kills, fifth in the division. Townsley was everywhere defensively with the fifth-most digs in the league with 344. Lauren Jamison was the final second-teamer for the Wolves. The senior setter contributed to much of the offense and collected 434 assists on the year, third in the division.

Pearl Krieger-Coble and Liana Sweezer were selected as honorable mentions. Krieger-Coble was one of the best servers on the team, being successful 95% of the time. Sweezer collected 110 kills and 19 blocks.

Winfield-Mt. Union finished the year 14-19 and had a trip the semifinal regional round.
