As you celebrate Thanksgiving, remember that Santa Claus is coming to town this weekend.

On Saturday, Jolly Old St. Nick will be in Washington. It will be a busy day in Washington, as Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt explains the day starts with Breakfast with Santa at the United Presbyterian Church from 8-10 a.m. and the Jingle Bell Run from 8-10 a.m. Santa’s house will be open for visitors during the afternoon. Starting at 6 p.m. is the live radio play broadcast by KCII from the library, followed by the lighting ceremony in Central Park at 7 p.m., and the lighted parade at 7:30 p.m. Grunewaldt says she has had a chance to check in with Santa, “Santa’s excited, he’s polishing up his sleigh and getting his jingle bells all ready and ready for another great holiday season.”
