A women’s choir based in Iowa City, with Washington County members, will be performing in Washington Sunday.

The group is called MetroMix and they’ll perform barbershop music. In addition to the concert, a dessert reception is being held prior to the performance to honor the Washington Performing Arts and Events Center donors and named giving plaques honoring those who donated $25,000 or more will be unveiled, as well as the donor seat labels. Members of MetroMix include Dianne Gray of Washington, Mary Lou Miller of Washington, Christine Cromwell of Coralville who teaches in Washington, Donna Johnson of rural Washington, and Beth Broman of Riverside.

In addition, Washington High School vocalists will appear during the concert including Tiffany Poland, Akira Bowen, Aurora Kane, Sarah Newman, Jennifer Lisaukas, Chloe McGuire, Kylie Haifley, Riordan Lujano, Logan Hanson, John Flannery, and Jerry Carter. The concert begins at 4:30 p.m. at the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center, tickets are $15.
