A car was found partially submerged in the Skunk River Saturday night.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 9:40 p.m. a caller notified dispatch of a car in the middle of the river with its hazard lights on and water was up to the bottom of the windows. The car was near Dogwood Avenue, west of Brinton Timbers Park. Washington Rescue, Brighton Fire Department, Brighton QRS, Washington County Ambulance, and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. It was discovered that no one was in the vehicle and the car had been stolen from Cedar County. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
