The Columbus Community/Winfield-Mt. Union wrestling team hosted a triangular on Thursday and came out victorious in both duals.

The Wildcats defeated Pekin 45-36 with five winners in contested matches. Jared Kadel won by fall at 106 lbs, Cam Rice won at 138 lbs by fall, Juanito Piper at 145 lbs by a 5-3 decision, Jose Cereza at 152 lbs by fall, and Jorge Miranda at 285 lbs by fall.

The Wildcats made it a productive night by downing Van Buren 51-24. Jared Kadel made it a perfect two for two on the day by winning at 106 lbs by fall in 26 seconds, Tucker Bright won at 120 lbs by a 9-8 decision, and J.T. Cunningham won at 170 lbs by fall.

Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union will get back at it tomorrow traveling to Regina.
