Another season is upon us for the Washington archery team, as they travel to Ottumwa today for a tournament.

The tournament features a bullseye and 3D competition. The Demons bring back plenty of experience from a team that finished 21st at Worlds in the 3D competition last summer. Sophomore Sami Mellinger leads the charge for the Demons, coming off a decorated freshman campaign. She had many competition titles a year ago and finished 10th in the high school division at worlds with a score of 285. Bryan Martin is a freshman to watch out for, placing 24th at the worlds for the middle school division shooting a 281. Other key returners from the worlds team include Kylee Porter, Maggie Morgan, and Griffin Wood.

The season gets started at noon today at Evans Middle School in Ottumwa.
