The Washington (1-3) girls’ basketball team gets back on the court tonight when they welcome first-year program Iowa City Liberty (1-3).

After winning the first game of the year, the Demons will look to snap a three-game losing skid. The Demons have had great contributions out of their seniors, including Sarah Nacos averaging 18 points per game on 44% shooting. Morgan Brinning has averaged eight points per game and leads the team in assists with 10 and steals with 12. Sophomore Addison Six has cleaned up the boards with 10 rebounds a contest and Brooke Stout averages eight.

In their first year of existence, the Lightning is off to a 1-3 start on the season. Washington will have to slow down Cora Saunders, leading the team with 13 points per game. Sam McPherson averages six points on the young season. The Demons will have to dominate the boards, as the Lightning only average 14 rebounds a contest.
