The Washington wrestling team was back in action Thursday night and they split in two duals at Mediapolis.

The Demons started up falling to Davenport Assumption 42-27. Winners for the Demons include Brandon Dickel at 126 lbs by a 5-4 decision, Kiowa Keith at 145 lbs by fall, David Hora at 152 lbs by a 10-3 decision, Tristin Westphal-Edwards at 170 lbs by fall, Collin Murphy at 182 lbs by a 7-1 decision, and Mitchell Huisenga at 285 lbs by fall.

The Demons made it a split after they defeated the host Bulldogs 51-24 on the strength of six forfeits. Winning in contested matchups was Dillan Sanders at 132 lbs by a 5-0 decision, Garret Ikerd at 138 lbs by a 6-0 decision, and David Hora won again at 152 lbs by a 6-1 decision.

The busy week continues for the Demons, as they hit the mat tonight traveling to Cascade for a tournament.
