The Washington girls’ and boys’ basketball teams get back in action Friday hosting Keokuk for a Southeast Conference showdown.

The Demon girls (3-5) are riding high after their come from behind 53-49 win against Sigourney on Monday. Brooke Stout has turned into a double-double machine, she had a team-high 14 points and 10 boards in the win. Rebounding has been a strength to the Demons in the early part of the year averaging 35 a game.  After winning their first two contests of the year, Keokuk has dropped the last two, falling to Mount Pleasant and Clarke County. Michaela Davis leads the Chiefs averaging 14 points and six steals a game. Keaija Lacy also averages double figures with 10 points per game.

The Washington boys’ (0-4) are in search of their first victory of the season. Jack Redlinger has led the Demons with seven points per game and Dalton Myers has averaged six. The Chiefs (1-2) crash the boards hard averaging 36 rebounds a game. Dre Moody leads them with 11 points and 10 rebounds a game. Eddie Lee also averages double figures with 10 points per contest.
