Washington County’s E911 Services and Communications Boards will have a joint meeting to discuss emergency radio systems.

On the agenda is hiring an architect for a feasibility study, as well as an initial building concept and location. Also, there will be an update on the Riverboat grant they had applied for, but did not receive. The estimate for new radio equipment, including towers, so emergency crews have better coverage in the county is up to $10.4 million, with an estimated $1 million more for a new technology equipped building to house the equipment and dispatch. The meeting will be held at 6:40 p.m. at the Washington County Sheriffs Office.
