The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team is back on the floor for action against an opponent today when they travel to Fairfield to battle the Trojans.

The Golden Hawks enter break at 2-7 on the season after a 62-43 loss to Williamsburg to wrap up the first half of the year. Mid-Prairie is led by Cale Robertson scoring nine points per game. Brad Tornow’s 22 assists are best on the team and eighth in the River Valley Conference. Tom Butters 57 rebounds are fifth in the league and best for the Hawks.

Fairfield comes into today with an overall record of 3-4. They were winners over Keokuk 63-45 in their final game before break. On the year the Trojans are led by Carson Crile at sixth in the Southeast Conference scoring 11 points per game. Crile is also best on the team and second in the league with 60 rebounds. Collin Breen has the team lead and is fourth in the conference with 23 assists.

Mid-Prairie opens the second half of the season Thursday, January 4th when they host Mediapolis.
