After nearly a week off the Mid-Prairie boys and girls basketball teams are back on the court tonight when they travel to West Liberty for a River Valley Conference doubleheader.

The Golden Hawk girls enter play tonight with an overall record of 4-1. The Golden Hawks were big winners last time out, blasting Durant 59-12. Addie Rath led Mid-Prairie with a double double 21 points and 10 rebounds. On the season, the Golden Hawks are led by Rath scoring 15 points per game, fifth in the RVC, and has a team high 22 rebounds. Delaney Smith has the team lead with 15 assists.

West Liberty comes into tonight with an overall record of 1-4. On Tuesday, they dropped a contest to Northeast Goose Lake 55-43. On the season the Comets are led by Macy Akers at 14 points per game, ninth best in the RVC. Akers also has the team lead with eight assists. Janey Gingerich leads West Liberty on the glass with 31 boards.

Last year the Golden Hawks swept the Comets in a pair of games

The Mid-Prairie boys come into tonight with an overall record of 1-4. In their last game, the Hawks fell to Durant 63-49 Saturday. Cale Robertson had 13 points to lead Mid-Prairie. On the season, the Golden Hawks are led by Robertson scoring nine per game. Brad Tornow has the team lead with 12 assists, 10th in the RVC. Kyle Miller has 23 rebounds to lead Mid-Prairie on the glass.

West Liberty comes into tonight with an overall record of 0-4. In their last game, they were beaten by Northeast Goose Lake 60-44. Spencer Daufeldt had 17 points. On the season the Comets are led by Seth Feldman scoring 17 per game, fourth in the conference. His 30 rebounds are best of the Comets. Spencer Daufeldt’s nine assists are best on the team.
