The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team is back on the mat today when they travel to North Linn for tournament action.

The Golden Hawks last competed Thursday in a River Valley Conference quadrangular in Wellman when they fell to Cascade but knocked off Iowa City Regina and Northeast Goose Lake. The Golden Hawks have a 7-5 dual record on the season.

Joining Mid-Prairie at the tournament today are Dyersville Beckman, Belle Plaine, Cedar Rapids Washington, Center Point-Urbana, Central Elkader, Dubuque Senior, Maquoketa Valley, North Fayette Valley, North Linn, Wapello, West Fork and Williamsburg.

Area school Highland will also be at the tournament. The Huskies were last on the mat Thursday when they split a pair of Southeast Iowa Superconference duals, beating WACO 46-28 and falling to Louisa-Muscatine 42-39.

There are 16 ranked wrestlers in today’s field. Action begins today at 8:30 and continues all day at North Linn High School.
