After their first road trip of the year Tuesday, the Mid-Prairie boys and girls basketball teams are back home tonight hosting the Wilton Beavers in River Valley Conference play.

The Golden Hawk girls come into tonight’s contest with an overall record of 2-1 on the year after a 50-46 setback Tuesday night at the hands of the Regals. Mid-Prairie was led in the contest by Addie Rath with 17 points, Anna Vilovchik added 16. On the season the Golden Hawks are led by Vilovchik at 13 points per game, 10th in the RVC. Delaney Smith leads Mid-Prairie with seven assists, Kessa Jones has the team lead with seven steals and Shae Becker has 19 rebounds to lead the Hawks.

Wilton comes into tonight’s contest with an overall mark of 4-1. The Beavers were winners Monday at Louisa-Muscatine 79-50. Aubrey Putman had a double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, Kortney Drake had 18 points. On the season Wilton is led by Emily Lange, scoring 16 points per game, fourth in the RVC. Drake has the team lead and is third in the league at 19 assists. Drake’s 30 steals are best on the team, best in the conference and second most in the state. Putman has the team lead, leads the conference is fifth in the state with 55 rebounds.

The Mid-Prairie boys enter tonight’s game looking for their first win of the year at 0-3. The Hawks were beaten Tuesday at Regina 66-44. Cale Robertson led the team with nine points. On the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Ryan Slabaugh, averaging nine points per game. Robertson has the team lead with five assists, his six steals are best on the team and fifth in the RVC. Cary Schaefer and Tom Butters lead the Hawks on the glass with 11 boards.

Wilton enters tonight with an overall record of 1-3. In their last contest they fell to Louisa-Muscatine on the road 73-26. AJ Bosten led the way with six points. On the season, Wilton is led by Jared Townsend at eight points per game, Garrett Bohnsack at seven total assists and six steals, and Brock Hartley has 20 rebounds, third most in the RVC.
