The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team hosted a home quadrangular meet Thursday night in Tim Grady Gymnasium, entertaining Iowa City Regina, Northeast Goose Lake and Cascade.

Against the Cougars, the Hawks dropped a tight 42-39 dual. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from David Murray by fall at 145lbs, Ben Meader by 6-2 decision at 160lbs, and Cory Allen by fall at 182lbs.

The Golden Hawks rebounded to beat Northeast Goose Lake 42-26. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Vinnie Bowlin by fall at 138lbs and Isaac Boucher by fall at 285lbs.

Mid-Prairie ended the night with a win, taking down rival Iowa City Regina 42-21. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Vinnie Bowlin at 145lbs by fall, David Murray at 152lbs by fall, Ben Meader at 160lbs by fall and Colton Allen at 195lbs by fall.

After the night, the Hawks are 7-5 on the year and will next be in action Saturday at the North Linn tournament.
