Highland Wrestling Fall in Two Duals in Opener

The Highland wrestling team started up their season on Thursday traveling to Muscatine for a triangular meet.

The Huskies fell to Central Dewitt 54-25 and 48-28 against the host Muskies. Leading the way for the Huskies was Cory Stewart and Brady Hahn, each having a pair of wins in contested matches. Stewart won by a 12-2 major decision and by fall at 145 lbs and Hahn won by fall and 10-2 major decision at 152 lbs. Other Huskies that grabbed a win was Cael Yeggy at 195 lbs by fall, Caedon Harbison at 126 lbs by fall, Dan Burton at 160 lbs by fall, and Cullen Klebe at 132 lbs by a 7-4 decision.

The Huskies get back on the mat tomorrow traveling to Wapello.
