The Highland and Sigourney-Keota wrestling teams took to the mat on Saturday traveling to Wapello for a tournament. Wilton won the event with 186 points.

The Huskies finished ninth out of 11 teams with a score of 61 points. Headlining the action for the Huskies was Cory Stewart placing second at 145 lbs. Stewart received a bye, won by fall, and in the championship match fell due to medical forfeit. Dan Burton also placed second at 160 lbs. He won by a 4-3 decision and 9-3 decision before falling in the championship round. Other top finishes for the Huskies were Brady Hahn in third at 152 lbs, Caedon Harbison in fifth at 126 lbs, and Alex Floryanovich in sixth at 120 lbs.

Sigourney-Keota finished 10th at the tournament with 35.5 points. Mason Dye led the Cobras placing second at 106 lbs. He won by fall, technical fall, and lost a 13-4 major decision in the final round. Trent Hendricks placed fifth at 145 lbs winning by fall in his final match and Zach Boender placed fifth at 152 lbs winning by fall, as well.

The Huskies get back at it Thursday traveling to Mediapolis, as the Cobras travel to Bondurant-Farrar today.
