The ninth annual Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run took place in Washington last week and another successful year is in the books.

Winning the overall event was Marc Moore out of the 20-40 year old division with a time of 20:03. Jenni Corcoran was the fastest female in the event with a time of 23:52 out of the 20-40 year-old division. For the 41 years and up division Damien Garrels was the first male to cross the finish line while Lisa Martin won the female division. Other division winners went to Kathleen Ortiz in the 11-19, Owen Leyden in the 10 and under male, and Alyvia Anderson won the 10 and under female.

Proceeds from the event totaled $2,000 and will be given to Washington Schools for track improvements and PAWS and More Animal Shelter.
