The intersection of Main Street and 2nd Avenue in Washington is now a four-way stop.

Previously the city council had approved making the intersection a two-way stop to transition out the aging traffic lights. However, after re-examining the traffic in the area, at their recent meeting the council approved unanimously to make it a four-way stop. At this time the stoplights are a flashing red light and in the spring stop signs will be installed with painted crosswalks.
