The Highland boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Pekin High School Tuesday night for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader with the Panthers.

In the girls contest, the Huskies suffered their first setback of the season, falling 59-33. Pekin took control of the game by holding Highland scoreless during the second quarter to take a 24-11 lead into the locker room. Alyson Stokes scored 21 to lead Highland. The Huskies are now 5-1 on the year.

In the boys contest, the Panthers got a 71-60 win. Pekin led 22-17 after one frame, only to see the Huskies see saw back in front and take a 36-35 lead into the break. Pekin made their move out of the locker room outscoring the Huskies 23-11 in the third to grab control and take the win. Cameron Millikin led the Panthers and all scorers with 33 points. The Huskies are now 3-1 on the season.
