It was opening week for the Washington girls’ and boys’ bowling teams and they faced off with Sigourney on Wednesday.

In the boys’ match, Sigourney came out victorious with a total team score of 2,389 pins from five participants. Parker Stevens led the way with a two-game score of 352 and Tanner Halleran had 349. The Demons had three participants and they finished with a team score of 1,447. Drake Schluetter led the way with 337 pins, Tucker Renoux had 335, and Keaton Zear managed 305.

The Washington girls competed against themselves, as the Savages did not field a team. The Demons had five players compete with a total score of 2,045. Trista Kelly led the way with a 352 and Taylor Janecek finished with a 301. Other scoring for Washington included Taylor Northup with 259, Rylie Swart with 248, and Katie Connolly with 238.
