Would you like your children to celebrate the new year without breaking their bedtime?

The Wellman-Scofield Library is hosting their second annual Noon Year’s Eve Party this Friday for preschool and elementary school aged children. The party begins at 11 a.m. with crafts, games, and treats. Library Director Carol Wilkins describes how they will countdown to noon, “Just before noon we have put together a little video of all the highlights the library has done in the past year. And then we have purchased little champagne glasses, we’ll have 7-Up, something bubbly, just like the adults and then we’ll have a little toast. And then if people want to go home and have lunch, we’re going to try not to spoil lunch, they can have lunch. Or they can stick around and play games or whatever, just a little celebration to close out the year.”

The Noon Year’s Eve Party takes place 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at the Wellman-Scofield Library. This event is free and open to the public with no registration required.
