Bryan Arthur Grout

A Williamsburg man has been charged with attempt to commit murder after a stabbing early Saturday morning.

According to the Williamsburg Police Department, 41-year-old Bryan Arthur Grout entered the residence of Heath Gerald Hershey in Williamsburg at about 2:15 a.m. with a knife. Inside the home Grout is said to have repeatedly stabbed Hershey in his neck, back, and chest. Grout was under a restraining order to stay away from Hershey’s residence. A preliminary hearing for Grout is scheduled for December 19, and a no contact order has been filed by Hershey. Grout is being held in the Iowa County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
