Building forts, fiber arts, concerts, and writing workshops are all on the schedule this month at the Washington Public Library.

Families are invited to bring light sheets, pillows, and blankets to the library to build forts and enjoy story time and snacks. Librarian Jenisa Harris explains where the idea for the event came from, “Last year for summer reading it was Build a Better World, and I had this idea but not enough time to do it. So I thought it’d be a really fun winter activity to get people outside reading together as a family, and just making some fun memories at the library.” Family Fort Night is January 12th. A full schedule of events can be picked up at the front desk of the library.
