The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team was in action on Tuesday night at Cardinal for a quadrangular meet.

The Cobras won two of three duals on the day with the only loss coming to Albia 52-21. The Cobras had two contested match winners in the dual, including Kaleb Reeves at 285 lbs by fall in 37 seconds and Zech Boender won by a 7-0 decision at 152 lbs.

The Cobras beat Cardinal 63-12 on the strength of eight forfeits. Mason Dye won by fall in 4:22 at 106 lbs, Luke House made it a quick match at 132 lbs pinning his opponent in 11 seconds, and Boender took care of business at 152 lbs by a 6-2 decision.

Sigourney-Keota also beat Van Buren by a final tally of 60-18. Boender made it a perfect three-for-three on the night when he won by fall in 27 seconds. Other contested match winners included House at 132 lbs by fall in 1:25, and Zeke Webb at 182 lbs by fall in 5:36.

After the day, the Cobras move their dual record to 11-8 on the season. They will next get on the mat today traveling to North Mahaska.
