The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team was back in action on Saturday traveling to Ottumwa for an invitational.

In the 12-team tournament Sigourney finished sixth with 141 points. Des Moines East managed first place with 218 points. Three Cobras headlined the day by taking home individual titles. Mason Dye (28-1) continued his blistering start to the season by winning at 106 lbs. In four contested matches Dye had three pins in a combined 3:55 and won by technical fall in the championship match by a score of 19-4. Zach Boender (20-10) took home the title at 152 lbs. He started out the day with a 9-5 decision win and then rallied off four straight pins in a combined 4:59. Kaleb Reeves (26-0) was the final champion at 220 lbs. He won all five of his matches by fall in a total of 5:58. Other top finishes for the Cobras include Luke House (8-12) placing sixth at 132 lbs, Zane Hahn (8-8) was seventh at 126 lbs, and Mac Conrad (12-5) placed seventh at 195 lbs.

The Cobras will get back in action Thursday traveling to HLV.
