The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team had a successful evening on Saturday placing second at the South Iowa Cedar League tournament in Montezuma.

The Cobras placed second out of 10 teams with a score of 131 points. Colfax-Mingo ran away with the conference title with 205 points. The Cobras had a pair of first place finishers including Mason Dye and Kaleb Reeves. Dye (41-3) took care of business at 106 lbs winning both of his matches by fall in a combined 5:12. Reeves (42-0) stayed unbeaten at 220 lbs by winning both of his matches by fall in a combined 2:50. A trio of wrestlers placed third on the day including Luke House (17-20) at 132 lbs, Nick Ives (28-16) at 138 lbs, and Trent Hendricks (19-27) at 145 lbs. Another top finish includes Mac Conrad (21-13) fourth at 195 lbs.

Sigourney-Keota will next be on the mat Saturday for sectionals.
